This is a simple demo VB.NET application that demonstrates:

  • a basic Web Service written in VB.NET
  • a WebForms GUI and WinForms GUI to access the service
  • a DLL wrapper for the WinForms GUI to access the service
  • the SQLConnection and SQLCommand classes

Software licensing management, a necessary process that some software companies do very poorly, is a candidate for being converted to a Web Service, for use on either an Intranet or the Internet.
