Microsoft Plans Brief in Appeal | |

In its latest attempt to preserve its structure, Microsoft Corp. will file its first brief with a federal appeals court, arguing that a lower court was wrong in deciding that the software giant was an unfair monopoly and should be broken up. The brief, ordered by the by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to be no longer than 150 pages, is expected to criticize the lower court for perceived mistakes in handling the effort by the Justice Department and several state attorneys general to split the company in two. | ||
