- DOWNLOAD: Everest Dictionary v3.0b [1M or 74M with databases] Win9x/2k/XP FREE
This comes with 35 dictionaries including acronyms, medical terms, synonyms, and many languages. Learn with the learning window and reinforce the learning with the game; use the translator and the glossary. To play a game, right-click on the dictionary's system tray icon (red E), select the dictionary, and click Game. Unfortunately, when you get an answer wrong, it doesn't tell you the right answer and it moves to the next question. In the acronyms game, it asks about COB, which I know as Close of Business, but that was not an option. The program takes a little figuring out, but offers so much. It's best to download it with the databases, but those on slower connections are better downloading bits and pieces.
- DOWNLOAD: DVD Shrink v3.1.6 [800K] Win9x/2k/XP FREE
CDs can't be shrunk like Shrinky Dinks using DVD Shrink. I was no artist and am still not an artist, but I enjoyed coloring those Dinks and putting them in the oven where the funky paper shrinks into smooth glass-like objects. Doom9, Mr. Bass, and DVDR Digest offer excellent guides to DVD Shrink, so you can start backing up DVD discs and even use the program with your DVD burning software.<
