  Xbox Metal Slug 3 Coming In May

Though its planned release for PlayStation 2 in North America is more or less cancelled at this point, Metal Slug 3 is steaming ahead for Xbox. The famous side-scrolling shooter will arrive on Microsoft's console in May, SNK Neo Geo USA announced today. Slug 3, despite the subsequent arrival of fourth and fifth entries in the series, is arguably the finest evolution of Nazca's original shoot-'em-up, adding more detailed backgrounds, underwater levels, more oddball vehicles (including the Slug Copter, Elephant Slug, and Rebel Armor), and much more pointless sprite-based violence.
