South Korea's Samsung Electronics said on Monday it would buy a five percent stake in Britain's mobile software maker Symbian to strengthen a front against Microsoft. Samsung, which 12 months ago was not even a Symbian licensee and appeared firmly in the emerging Microsoft camp, said it feared a rerun of the history of the personal computer industry if Microsoft and its chip ally Intel were left unchallenged. | ||
