Imagine the scene: Bernard is sitting in front of the TV playing his favourite Xbox football management title and wearing his Voice Communicator headset, when suddenly the air turns blue. "Get your %&!?@ arse up the pitch and find the back of the net you $*&?$@ idiot!" An initially shocked parent/partner/pet dog (delete as appropriate) begins to look on in wonder as the verbally abused player suddenly does what he's been told. Sounds like the stuff that dreams are made of? Well, Fonix Corporation's speech recognition technology that will be included with Xbox Development Kits (the hardware developers use to create Xbox games) as of next month will hopefully make it a reality. | ||
