  Windows XP Build 2469 Released To Testers

Thanks to Corey and a number of others. Microsoft has today released a new build to their select beta testers. Build 2469 includes the following main updates:

  • Networking, Net card drivers, etc., including minor updates to the Home Network wizard and the RAS client connection wizard;
  • Base/kernel/pnp/power management, including performance, reliability, boot time, app launch, setup, uninstall, and Windows 98/Me upgrades;
  • Security & DS, mainly the new restrictions on local account login using blank passwords (see below);
  • Help, management, remote desktop/assistance.
