 It plans to discuss Real Time Collaboration plans on March 8 
Microsoft Corp. is set to unveil new Real Time Collaboration (RTC) plans and technologies, including tools for instant messaging and videoconferencing, at a press event on March 8. 
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will attend the live event in San Francisco, along with Anoop Gupta, vice president of RTC, according to a company representative. 
The RTC division is home to Microsoft software used for immediately connecting users, providing capabilities such as IM, videoconferencing, phone calls and data exchange.
