  Nero 5.5 On Its Way

We've just received word from Ahead that Nero 5.5 will be available on march 9th. It'll include many new interesting features for those of you who are burners addicts. Here is a list of the new features:

  • WaveEditor
  • Enhanced Cover Designer
  • CD-Extra pre-mastering
  • VCD/SVCD menu generation
  • Full MPEG1 encoder for VCD creation (great quality!!)
  • NeroAPI for integration of CD-Recording into user's applications
  • Audio PlugIn interface

The retail version of Nero 5.5 will include the features listed above as well as the following ones:

  • Virus checking before burning (using DrWeb technology)
  • Mounting of Nero Images to virtual CD-ROM drives

Best of all this upgrade will be free for those of you who purchased Nero 5.0! Be patient.
