Just announced from Warner Bros is a two-disc special edition reissue of perennial holiday favorite A Christmas Story. Extras have yet to be announced, but the feature itself will come with both remastered anamorphic (1.85:1) and fullscreen transfers and Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono. Pick up this great set (in your pink bunny suit) on October 7th for a retail $26.99.

Also just announced, MGM Home Entertainment will rev up a two-disc special edition of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for release on November 25th. Making up for its initial pan & scan release, this 35th Anniversary Edition of the family classic will include a new high-definition anamorphic transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, a new documentary with star Dick Van Dyke, a sing-along feature, a read-along featurette, archival cast interviews, music demos, interactive games, coloring pages and a 32-page booklet with archival photos. The DVD is priced at $29.98.
