  Tecmo Gets Fancy with the DOA and Rygar Covers

[Tecmo] sent word today that they're planning special covers for the first pressings of both DOA and Rygar when they hit American stores.

The special editions won't include the mini-photo albums the Japanese DOA will (sorry, randy teenagers), but they will feature lenticular covers that magically animate before your eyes as you tip the box in certain angles. Tecmo USA isn't revealing what the covers look like yet, but they told us today that there'll be at least four lenticular covers for DOA and at least two for Rygar. There may be even more, you see, but so far they've only decided for sure on six covers total.

The Rygar first editions will hit stores sometime mid November, while DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball is scheduled for December 5. The DOA covers are sure to become valuable collector's items within a certain, erm, hardcore section of the marketplace, so make sure you hit the game shops early.
