Forrester Research has done a study on the impact of the Microsoft Software Assurance program, and developed a business case analysis tool that enables Microsoft sales and partner personnel to help customers and prospects understand the total business value Software Assurance may bring to their organizations. The tool uses a Forrester proprietary framework for financial analysis, incorporated into a Microsoft Excel–based tool comprised of questions a Microsoft sales person can utilize to obtain customer-specific data for the calculations of Return on Investment (ROI). Forrester Research has provided defaults for these questions; Microsoft customers do not have to have the answers to all of the questions in order to obtain a reasonable estimate of the ROI of Software Assurance for their particular company. | ||
