In other news, Microsoft Corp. today announced the release to manufacturing (RTM)
of Microsoft
Virtual PC 2004, the desktop virtual machine solution that could make possible
the backwards compatibility requested in the above petition. Microsoft acquired
this technology last year from Connectix Corporation. Virtual PC lets PowerPC architectures
run Microsoft Windows applications, access Windows networks and use Windows-only
Internet applications. If the Xbox successor uses a PowerPC architecture, this is
