Internet Explorer 6 Update: Data is Truncated When You Download a gzip-Encoded Excel File in Internet Explorer
Time: 01:22 EST/06:22 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin.com | Posted By: Robert Stein

When you download a Microsoft Excel file that uses HTTP compression (gzip-encoded) in Internet Explorer, if you open the file, the data is truncated. However, if you save the file to disk and then open the file using Excel, all the data is present. This problem does not occur if the file is not gzip-encoded. For more information, see Knowledge Base Article 331596.
