  Review: Soltek SL-KT400-A4 KT333CF
Time: 21:05 EST/02:05 GMT | News Source: E-Mail | Posted By: Fred Fernandez

VIA released the KT-333 CF chipset a while ago and the chipset has everything that KT-400 (DDR-400 support and V-Link 8X) has except AGP 8X protocol. The KT-333 CF is released to meet OEM's demands on KT-333 chipset. (Some do not want the "new and improved" KT-400 chipset).

The KT-333 CF is pin compatible with the KT-400 but not with the previous generation of chipsets (KT-333 and earlier). Thus, manufacturers can no longer use KT-333's layout and most of them would build the KT-333 CF based on their KT-400 PCB.

Soltek hits the market with its latest AMD DDR motherboard - SL-KT-400-A4. It uses the KT-333 CF chipset described above. (I have no idea why a KT-333 motherboard has a KT-400 name in it, lol)
