Aspiring aviators can now prepare to fly higher and faster, as Microsoft Game Studios is happy to announce that the first service pack for the AIAS award-winning “Flight Simulator X” is now available for download at www.fsinsider.com. Optimized using the Intel® Threading Toolkit, Service Pack 1 will:

  • Provide a 20 to 40 percent performance increase
  • Be optimized for multi-core CPUs and improve draw times for faster loading
  • Address multi-player and backwards compatibility issues
  • Offer improved realism of key geographical locations, landmarks and airports

Its clear skies for “Flight Simulator” fans as Microsoft Game Studios also recently announced a new expansion pack for “Flight Simulator X,” the newly renamed “Flight Simulator X: Acceleration,” available for gamers this fall.
