New Xbox 360 Update w/ Background Downloading Coming | |

According to reports all over the Internet (but not officially confirmed by Microsoft as far as we can tell), Microsoft is prepping a new Xbox 360 update that will, among other things, finally offer background downloading to the masses. As it stands now, downloading anything while on Xbox Live effectively prevents the user from performing any other action on the console, lest the download be cancelled. As the size of game demos has approaching upwards of 1GB, this has often meant a lengthy wait while the download finishes. With this update, it should now be possible to start a download, and let it finish up in the background while you're playing your favorite game at the same time. | ||
