Hurd's HP To Cease Reselling Apple's IPods | |

Making his mark? Mark Hurd, the chief executive of U.S. computer firm Hewlett-Packard, has put his own stamp on the company. HP has decided to cease reselling Apple Computer's iPod music player, the world's favorite Lilliputian jukebox. Before she was ousted earlier this year, former HP CEO Carly Fiorina cut a deal to sell the digital music player in early 2004. Hurd's now re-sculpting HP: The streamlining includes 14,500 job cuts, decimating the firm's worldwide staff. And as Hurd cleans up, he's seemingly trashing anything that doesn't fit. "HP has decided that reselling iPods does not fit within the company's current digital entertainment strategy," said an Apple spokeswoman. | ||
