Digital Backspin have posted a review of Blood Wake. They gave the game 79% and here is a snippet of the review: There isn’t anything inherently “wrong” with Blood Wake. It’s just that there’s nothing new in here. Simply put you will be assigned various tasks including protecting convoys of ships from point A to point B; Attacking enemy convoys and bases and making the waterways “free for all”. Of course you do this as part of a bad of freedom fighters. Also known as pirates. Oh, and just to make things interesting you are fighting against your evil brother who once ambushed your convoy and left you for dead. The basic story unfolds via a series of voice overs and static images. There are no full motion cut scenes. The story is a bit on the weak side and the concept is a bit anachronistic, with ancient Chinese junks armed to the teeth with modern weaponry in a time period that isn’t really identified.
