Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox video-game console may have knocked the Nintendo GameCube out of the industry's No. 2 spot in just 18 months, but industry leader Sony isn't going to be an easy target. The electronics giant announced May 28 that it will ship a new version of the PlayStation 2, called PSX -- which comes with its own hard drive and proprietary operating system -- sometime in the first quarter of 2004. | ||
