At NetWorld+Interop 2001 Las Vegas last night, Microsoft Corp. announced that Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 (MOM 2000) will be released to manufacturing next month. MOM 2000 provides the comprehensive solution for centralized event and performance management of Windows 2000-based servers and Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers, including Exchange 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000. "For scale-out environments, management is not just important - it's fundamental, and we're making it a major area of investment for Microsoft," said Cliff Reeves, vice president of Windows.NET Server Product Marketing at Microsoft. "Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 extends our management portfolio with a best-of-breed solution for managing Windows-based servers and applications in the datacenter."
