Apparently in Latvian, vista means chicken. More accurately, a female chicken. With a slight variation, its apparently the same deal in Lithuanian too.
While its nice to see Microsoft creating products geared towards the more agrarian user, it does highlight the problems global companies face when trying to market their products across many varied markets.
Vista seems to have bombed a bit in many popular languages. In Spanish, vista is an inflected form of the verb vestir, which means to dress. Que usted desean vestir como hoy? (What do you want to dress as today?). In French it means live your, so Microsoft will probably market it as live your dreams, or something equally nauseating.
