#24 weasel words Yikes. I sure have'net been called that before. I meant to reflect my thoughts and be thoughtful
#23, Yes, I know and understand this aspect of the debate - after all, I surely build my own systems and for the same reasons you do. So that part of the cost is not what I wrote to here in this thread. Apple does to some extent what we ourselves do and I fairly assess, better than Apple and that is deliver more value than the sum of a computer's parts. Reminds me... I have to hit publish on part III. I finished up a long time ago <but worried about people who might get some things wrong OC'ing and bake their machines>. #24, a tax it might be, but I am speaking to the willingness of a customer to pay for the value they recognize in a product. Obviously a great many do. Is it worth it to Apple's customers? I say it is - they have many very loyal customers. |
