I know you've heard this before - but a new firm has offered to take over the development of the new activewin/activexbox/anetforums and the dirty work will begin soon. One of our most vocal community members, Lloyd Ketchum, of Liberating Technologies" will be leading the effort. We already have moved ActiveWin to an upgraded, more powerful server in anticipation of the new site. In any case, we have a long list of new features already planned but we wanted to reach out to the community and see if you have any features you'd like to see. Now is the time to speak up. Thanks!

#25, Young man, that is so out of the correct context, it doesn't deserve a response. Grow up, or move on. The point was, that I started to help a long damn time ago - so guys like Latch, you, and all others, COULD POST. If there are real features you'd like to see, post them, or go find something else useful to do.

#36 Out of context? Are you insane? I included the full paragraph, didn't skip over anything and even included a link for anyone else to go to that thread and make up their own mind if they thought I was putting words in your mouth. Sorry if you don't like it, but it's definitely NOT out of context.
As for "real features", other than the ones I mentioned in #18 (both directly and indirectly), it would be great to have a search by user feature so that it's very easy for people to search on what someone has and has not said in the past.

#27, You make the naive assumption that one would have to leverage an account or a site in order to prevent an emitter from sending. That is simply not the case. And again, you forget, our work is to ensure the opposite - to ensure that all who wish to post can.

#28 The only possible naive assumption on my part is one of me not believing that you could silence someone, anyone, with any other methods within the 20 seconds that you stated it would take you. It appears, from that thread, that there's at least one other person who thinks that's true as well. Having said that, I don't think there's all that much naivety in my assumptions. Phone calls take longer than 20 seconds, DoS attacks take more than 20 seconds, etc. Perhaps it is you that has naive assumptions... about certain people here.

kabuki, just say thank you and leave it at that. You're like an incessent child that wants his big green ball no matter what. You're just sitting there, post after post, pulling at mama's dress.
ball! ball! ball!
Give it a rest man. You're killing any remaining support you had from folks at AW.

This place has already turned into some horrible nightmare, with Ketchum holding court and his merry band of boot-licking sycophants praising his every utterance. Now that he's involved in the back-end, I can just see the tone of story selection here"

For the record, I could boot everyone of you guys from AWIN in about 10 seconds. How's that for quick?
Let's stay on topic here. We obviously have many regulars on this site, so your feedback on site improvements is the most important feedback we could possibly get.

Then you would probably end up losing a chunk of change as advertising hits drop off since you won't have your regulars checking back every few minutes to counter responses to their posts.
And AWIN selling out is most certainly part of the topic here.
