The March community technical preview (CTP) of the Visual Studio 2005 Software Developers Kit V2 (SDK) is now available.
"The V2 SDK is focused on project systems and editors; and includes one of the most exciting samples the team has ever done -- the Microsoft IronPython end-to-end integration sample," wrote Soma Somasegar, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Developer Division, in his blog entry announcing the CTP.
The first SDK was released along with Visual Studio 2005 back in November. This represented a consolidation of smaller kits, samples and whitepapers into a single release, Somasegar noted.
SDK V2, meanwhile, is slated for general release next month, in keeping with the SDK development group's schedule of two or three releases per year.
