Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) has denied it is artificially creating a shortage in the U.S. of its Xbox 360 video game consoles, which it will begin selling Tuesday, The New York Times reported Monday.
Microsoft has said that within 90 days, it expects to ship 2.75 million to 3 million of the highly anticipated consoles worldwide.
According to The Times, Wall Street analysts expect a shortage in the U.S., with some saying Microsoft has purposely stoked demand beyond the company's ability to meet it.
