Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI) today announced that its premium-performance PC audio subsystem, SoundMAX(R) with SPX(TM) technologies, is now shipping with the D815EEA2 and D815EFV, two new mainstream desktop boards from Intel(R) Corporation, the world's premier motherboard manufacturer. OEMs, integrators and resellers will be able to use the new Intel desktop boards to offer an integrated PC audio solution that provides functionality equivalent to that of a $200 PCI soundcard-but at a fraction of the price. SoundMAX is also a solution for the industry's CNR (Communications Network Riser) standard, a growing market that enables configure-to-order multi-channel audio upgrades at a fraction of the cost of PCI. ADI also announced that the industry's leading CNR soundcard suppliers, Guillemot/Hercules, Mediatek and TerraTec, have all released CNR soundcards that support the new SoundMAX-enabled D815EEA2 and D815EFV desktop boards.
