Setting the industry standard for mobile entertainment, Kenwood USA Corp. today introduced the world's first Dual-Zone, in-dash DVD/CD player/receiver that includes a retractable wide screen high-resolution LCD video display with touch panel control. No larger than an ordinary in-dash AM/FM CD receiver, the new Kenwood Excelon(TM) KVT-910DVD, shown here today for the first time at the International Consumer Electronics Show, incorporates a motorized high resolution LCD screen which serves as both a video display and TV screen. The display also offers Kenwood's exclusive new touch screen graphical user interface (GUI), simplifying operation of the system with on-screen controls and menus.
``Kenwood provides end users with everything needed for in-car entertainment, from head units to a multi-channel processor; to speakers -- including our new detachable center channel -- and amps. We have the ultimate in mobile entertainment equipment,'' said Steve Berry, Kenwood's national product manager for mobile electronics. ``The high-resolution screen offers superior video performance, and the touch-screen menus are much more user friendly than typical buttons or a remote control.''
Kenwood's new DVD receivers play CD, CD-R, CD-RW and Video CD discs, and offer many of Kenwood's advanced mobile audio features, including System E's + advanced crossover system, System Q EX sound control, PowerSlide/B.M.S. amplifier control and the ability to create two independent listening zones in the same vehicle. The Dual Zone feature allows, for example, for front seat and back seat occupants to enjoy different programs simultaneously over the same audio system.
