So, hot on the heels of Intel's Canterwood launch, AMD are upping an FSB of their own. The Barton core has been sped up, as was widely expected, to 400MHz FSB. What does this mean?
Well, it means we may just have the processor I was looking for when I reviewed the original 3000+ Barton Here. Now I took a lot of flack for that review : Bit-tech was accused of being too pro-Intel, unwilling to recognise the advances AMD had made. I still stand by that review : the 3000+ didn't, and still doesn't, hold a candle to the 3.06HT Intel, especially not when it was launched at the price point that it was. In fact, I believe I said :
