It's been a couple of months, but Universal Home Video has finally announced some news on the corrected Back to the Future II and III transfers. Those who bought the set last December and subsequently sent Universal the faulty discs should receive replacement discs by mail beginning next month. Corrected box sets should be arriving in stores around the same time. How you can spot these is that the new packaging will have a "V2" printed near the bottom of the screen format/bar code sticker. This will indicate that the set contains the remastered discs for II and III. The same "V2" also will be printed on the discs themselves after the copyright fine print. If you're still holding on to the mis-framed II and III discs, send them back to Universal (without the case) at the following address. And be sure to include your name, mailing address, a daytime phone number, and a return address.
