Sony Online Entertainment sent word today of a new limited-edition PC package that may be of interest to EverQuest fanatics that can never have enough. Yes, the Gold Edition of Everquest is hitting stores tomorrow (November 6) for $64.95, and the amount of stuff packed inside this golden tin box is of more epic proportions than the game itself.
The EverQuest Gold Edition includes the original EverQuest and all four expansion packs: The Ruins of Kunark, The Scars of Velious, The Shadows of Luclin and The Planes of Power. You'll also get a whopping three cloth maps of Norrath (and none of that simulated-cloth stuff, either), a large-size figure and an exclusive comic book set in the EverQuest universe.
"We are always looking for ways to reward our dedicated subscriber base of more than 430,000," said SOE vice president Don Vercelli. "The EverQuest Gold Edition offers a convenient way for gamers to get all four expansion packs in collectable packaging and also makes a perfect holiday gift for any EverQuest fan."
If this sounds fascinating to you, then it'd be best to act fast: Sony is only making 40,000 Gold Edition boxes, each one individually numbered. You can collect 'em all for only $2.6 million! What a steal!
