| No, Jesus was not anti government. He taught his followers to live the law of the Romans. He taught them to live the law of the Jews. If the law of God conflicts with the laws of the land, that is, perhaps, another story. In all cases other than this, he very much lived the law of the land. He even submitted to Jewish and Roman authority in allowing himself to be arrested, beaten, and executed. That sounds to me like he supported the laws of the land. |

I hope you do it in a way that your representatives will hear you too. I don't know too many Congressmen that read activewin.
Also, if you want the best results, I'd polish your presentation skills, if I were you. I'd argue that the reason nobody has jumped on the bandwagon with you, even when they agree with a lot of what you say, is because you present it very harshly. |

| I don't want to put words in your mouth, so I've got to ask, what does "everything in his power" mean? I've seen people bomb clinics where abortions are performed. That is in my power to do, but I do not think that I have any authority to commit murder to prevent murder. Neither God nor the people have given me that authority. |

I never said that speaking freely against what you feel are unfair laws is anti Government. Are you trying to understand me? or just argue with me?

| The way you come accross is one who favors revolution, not one who favors free speach. The way you talked, it sounded like one trying to incite a riot, not one voicing his opinion as a citizen. Also, I hope you remember that you feel some laws are unfair, but other don't hold that same opinion. It is possible that what you now think unfair isn't really unfair, but rather than you don't see all the issues clearly and in your limited vision they seem unfair. On the other hand, you could be right. |

On the taxes issue, my personal opinion is this - it is the duty of a citizen to obey the laws of the land. It is the duty of those who make the laws to make good laws. Even if the laws are bad (too high taxes), a citizen should still obey them. If the laws are bad, then God will judge them for their works. If I've done my best to be a good citizen and an obdient follower of Christ (and paying taxes doesn't make me a bad follower of Christ), then God will judge me for my works. I think the bottom line is that ultimately judgement and vengeance are in the hands of God.

I don't know of many people in the world who could meet the criteria of those we are to vote for if we don't want to go to hell according to your article.
So how would you describe God? I see God as our Heavenly Father. Since God is our Father, we are all brothers and sisters. He's perfect, kind, just, merciful, loving. He wants us to be happy. He gave us commandments to help us live in happiness and peace. Two things prevent us from being happy and returning to live with him - sin and death. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to overcome sin and death. Is this inline with your beliefs? |

| IIRC I said that sodablue should watch himself, since people have said the same about him (referring to his last post). Ah, did you think I was saying that he was going to hell? I'm just lost on this one. My speach was concilliatory not accusatory, so I see no reason for the censorship in this case. |

m, he has some interesting points. All I seem to hear from him is anger and judgement. I don't seem to hear mercy and turning the other cheek. That kind of bothers me.
As for beliefs, I'm glad we agree on the fundamentals. |
