Twenty percent of Net surfers are now using Microsoft's Windows XP operating system, according to market researcher WebSideStory. The research company said Windows XP is the second most popular OS among Internet users, behind Microsoft's Windows 98 with a 37 percent share. Windows XP's share is up from 2 percent in the first week of November 2001, and Windows 98's is down from 50 percent at that time. | ||

| I have had IExplorer use well over 300 MB of Ram but it did not slow my system and the webpage had well over 600 images on it. Anyhow, my Iexplorer uses normally less than 20MB and I have never had IE crash since I have switched to XP on four computers. PLus this bloated crap is annoying, you want new and improved, faster and better, added features, but you do not expect it to use a little bit more reasources. I mean come on Windows 95 was bloated compared to 3.11 and 2000 is bloated compared to NT by your definitions. I think it is just a newer product with newer features added and hey some features may need a little more juice to run. That is why all the computers I use on a daily basis have 512MB or more of Ram, then I do not notice any performance drops. |

| I bet I could write ten apps that wouldn't run in XP. As for 10% CPU usage per instance of IE, that would give me real problems. |
