The recent exodus of high- and mid-level Microsoft managers continues today with the upcoming departure of global marketing chief Mich Mathews, who announced Wednesday she is planning to leave Redmond this summer.
Mathews
Mathews is senior vice president for the Central Marketing Group and is responsible for Microsofts $1 billion, according to Advertising Age, in annual marketing spending. She oversaw internal and external communications, including advertising, public relations, events and product packaging.
Twenty-two years in one place I feel like Ive done so much, Mathews told AdAge. Frankly its time to do something new. Its half a lifetime. Microsoft was chapter one and its time for a chapter two.
