Even though Kinects first wave of games has been said to be audience expanding, Microsoft believes itll still be the hardcore gamer who will be the first in line to purchase the device. Because thats just what they do. Said Xboxs worldwide product marketing manager Ryan Moore in a recent interview: I think we know that hardcore gamers will be the first to go out and buy it, as they are with any product.
we know we have to have a wide range of experiences, from things like [Kinectimals] to to games that are more geared towards the core. So I would expect a wide range of products to be released this holiday. Kinect will launch in early November with around 15 titles. Half of them have been revealed so far, all of which with the exception of Harmonixs Dance Central (pictured), perhaps are aimed at the casual demographic. Core offerings are expected to arrive with the second wave of games; there simply hasnt been enough time to develop a core game for Kinect yet, is Segas reasoning.
