Enylson Camolesi has only to look at his teen-age daughter to understand the challenges of overcoming addiction. Hes gently trying to help her kick the habit, grimly aware that the difficult task at home is what hes attempting to replicate, on a massive scale, throughout the Brazilian government. Stopping cold turkey may not be an option, but they hope that with time and patience, Brazils bureaucrats can be weaned off their dependence on Microsoft Corp. and made to switch to free operating systems such as Linux. A workshop here in May for 2,000 government employees was a modest start. | ||
