The Star Trek Starfleet Command series is one of the most revered "realistic" real-time strategy series on the market. Based on the Starfleet Battles board game, the series has always done a good job of portraying the excitement and challenge of commanding a spaceship in the Star Trek universe. Unfortunately, past iterations of the series have also well-portrayed the complexity of the same task, often with such detail that all but hardcore strategy fans were turned off.
