Xbox now cheaper than PS2 in Europe | |

Microsoft responds to Sony Europe's PS2 price drop with an even bigger drop in the price of its Xbox console. Microsoft has today announced that its Xbox console -- which launched in Europe in March -- is, for the first time, going to cost less than Sony's PS2. The announcement, which will see Xbox consoles in Europe selling for approximately 249 euros or 159 in the UK, follows a similar announcement from Sony Europe that saw the price of a PS2 drop to around 259 euros or 169. This is the second price drop in under six months for Microsoft's console in Europe where it initially launched for approximately 470 euros or 299. | ||
