Although this episode is from the beginning of May, it is new to me and I thought that the viewers would enjoy watching it. Here is some info on this episode:
Before the first line of code is written, before the first T-shirt is printed, somebody needs to map out and understand the overall architecture of the application that is to be designed. Application Architecture is important for understanding not only the functional flow of an application, but also in being able to understand the constraints, the obstacles, and the various ways to address issues of performance, scale, security, and deployment.
The topic of Application Architecture is a big one, and to cover it properly would take more then one episode, and so in today's episode we will be providing an introduction to Application Architecture. In future episodes we will revisit this topic and dive into specific types of applications and discuss in detail the programming models, methods, and approaches that can be used for creating well-architected solutions.
Joining us in this episode will be Shaun Hayes, Maarten Mullender, and Keith Short, who will be sharing with us their thoughts about the importance of Application Architecture and discussing how the .NET Framework plays a role in helping to provide a structure that can be used for basing your future applications on.
