Microsoft Corp. plans to hold its massive Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) in early November in Los Angeles, a week after the company's rescheduled Professional Developers Conference (PDC) takes place in the same location.
Information about WinHEC 2008 was e-mailed to previous attendees and posted on Microsoft's Web site earlier this week. The conference is aimed at hardware vendors that develop PCs and gadgets for Windows, and it usually draws tens of thousands of attendees, many of them from overseas.
