The long-awaited upgrade to Microsoft's Web browser is here, introducing the masses to features available for years in rival products. My initial thought to Microsoft Corp.'s game of catch-up was "no big deal." But after trying out version 7 of Internet Explorer, the first significant release since 2001, I found a number of improvements to like. Normally, those might provide enough reason to switch to IE7 -- except that rivals like Mozilla's Firefox have been pushing forward with new tools as well.
