For example, a Windows XP desktop window offers two new views: Thumbnails, which displays each picture as a slide-size miniature, and Filmstrip, which displays, right there in the window, the photo whose icon you click. You even get little Previous, Next and Rotate buttons. Useful links sit at the left side of every such window: "View as a slide show," "Order prints online," "Print this picture," "Publish this file to the Web," and so on. And Windows XP users or anyone, for that matter can also order beautiful gift books, identical to the ones that you can order through iPhoto (but with Web-based, far less refined layout tools), by visiting www.mypublisher.com. (MyPublisher won't say whether or not it produces the iPhoto books for Apple, but the pricing and the books themselves are identical.) | ||
