Millions of moviegoers are experiencing the magical world of Harry Potter (news - web sites) -- but not everyone paid for the privilege. So far, customers have spent more than $240 million dollars at the box office. But it doesn't take wizardry to be able to see the movie for free. It's available on the Internet.
Raymond Ferrer is a U.C. Davis student. His computer is connected to the University's high-speed network. He found another student on the system who had an impressive movie library stored on his hard-drive.
They were all new releases, not available on video or DVD. All Ferrer had to do to download them was ask for a password.
