Microsoft’s new cunning plan
SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft is planning to release a server version of its Longhorn operating system for home users.
Windows Server Senior Vice President Bob Muglia hint an online chat group that a home server version of Windows was being developed.
According to eWeek, the answer was in response to a chat participant as to whether Vole might consider building a home server as a way of united all the different media content and multiple machines in everyone’s home.
Muglia also hinted that a beta version of Longhorn server will be released about the same time as the Longhorn beta is released.
