States propose tougher Microsoft sanctions | |

The states still suing Microsoft for antitrust violations have drafted a list of proposed sanctions that would require the company to offer a slimmed-down version of Windows without add-on products, among other tough curbs. Nine states and the District of Columbia, which must submit their proposed remedies to Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly by Friday, have vetted a draft of the legal filing with industry officials. Government prosecutors are still revising the document, and certain provisions could change or be eliminated, say people familiar with matter. | ||
