Media Support in the Microsoft Windows Real-Time Communications Client

The Real-Time Communications (RTC) client in Microsoft Windows is a set of core components that provides access to rich communications features. These features are exposed to the user through Windows Messenger and other applications that use the application programming interfaces (APIs) provided. This paper will outline the media related features and enhancements provided by these components. Application developers may want to integrate RTC features into their application to improve the user experience. Developers can also build their own communities using the RTC features.
