Daimler Chrysler's Smart division is preparing to introduce a limited-edition Smart car integrating an iPod, called the i-move, claims French language Mac Web site, MacGeneration. The company will also announce a similarly-equipped Smart Roadster model, it claims. The vehicles are set for announcement at Apple Expo Paris. This opens September 16 with an Apple CEO Steve Jobs keynote speech. The report claims the cars will be marketed in a similar way to the 'Pods Unite' co-promotion currently being organized by Apple and Volkswagen in the US. Smart has not responded to requests for comment on these claims.
