Think Microsoft is hawking buggy software? Ready to make the move to Linux and "get rid of all your security worries?" Don't fret, let's talk about it. Today, Mozilla v1.0 is "unofficially" released. MozillaQuest reports that Mozilla v1.0 contains a mere 36,000 bugs... that's 12,000 "targeted" bugs and 24,000 "open" bugs. The Linux-targeted community of MozillaQuest is quick to point out that "targeted" bugs are bugs that have been verified by developers and is scheduled for fixing... someday. The 24,000 "open" bug count is likely to contain many duplicates, so you just can't count on that to be accurate.
