I'm currently at Teched IT Forum where we were just briefed about the upcoming keynote this afternoon.
One thing announced is that today Microsoft will reveal the official name of it's server virtualization technology, named Microsoft Hyper-V.
Microsoft also announced that they will release a server version with only this Hyper-V installed on it, the Windows Hyper-V Server. This server will be extremely low priced compared to other editions. From what i heard the price is going to be 28 dollars.
Windows Server 2008 will not ship the final version of Hyper-V with Windows Server 2008, but Windows Server 2008 will contain the Hyper-V current build which can be upgraded later using WSUS or SCCM 2007.
More news will follow so stay tuned at Activewin
