IGN.com have posted a preview of Sega GT 2002. Here is a snippet of the preview:
The look of the game has improved too. Forget last year's bland, sparsely populated world. The new Sega GT 2002 is possbly the best looking console driving game ever. Xbox's image quality shines through with the most flawless roads ever seen in a racer and pixel perfect billboards lining the tracks (containing ads for real products). You can see far into the distance both through the windshield and rear-view mirror without the game resorting to surrounding the track with buildings. As you approach buildings that are far in the distance, detail gracefully becomes more apparent -- there's no pop-in.
The game also features its own take on the lens flare, although you've never seen anything like it in a game before. In Sega GT 2002, the Sun provides an overwhelming glare rather than a lens effect. Tokyo is always covered in clouds, so I've forgotten what the Sun looks like, but Sega GT seems to represent the first time the Sun has been annoying in a driving game -- and you have to admit that seeing the Sun in your windshield as you drive in real life is always very annoying.
You can read the rest of the preview here. There are also a couple of movies they have posted of the game footage. You will need Quicktime.
